DES MOINES, Iowa, October 2023 – Ag Startup Engine is pleased to announce its 2023 Unconference with the theme of “Sowing the Seeds of Innovation: Data, AI, and Sustainable Agriculture,” which will take place at the Landus Innovation Center in Des Moines, IA, on October 6, 2023. The leaders of Ag Startup Engine have prepared an afternoon of keynote and guest speakers for attendees to enjoy.
To kickoff Unconference, Ag Startup Engine is pleased to announce that former Undersecretary and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will be sharing a few remarks to open the conference. Following Northey’s remarks is keynote speaker Rob Trice, founder of Better Food Ventures and The Mixing Bowl. With his passion for understanding the applications of information technology to food and agriculture challenges, Trice has impacted the food and agriculture industry in innovative ways. Trice’s highly anticipated presentation is titled “Acquiring Data to Unlock the Power of Artificial Intelligence.”
Guest speakers will also be joining to share their knowledge on the topics of data, AI, and sustainable agriculture. The guest speaker lineup includes Clayton Mooney of Clayton Farms, BJ Brugman of Distynct, Brad McDonald of Continuum Ag, and Delaney Howell of AgCulture Marketing.
“Get ready to be inspired and informed as we explore the exciting possibilities of innovation in agriculture,” shares Ag Startup Engine Executive Director, Joel Harris.
Along with the exciting speaker series, an opportunity for a Q&A panel and door prizes follows in the afternoon. To allow attendees to mingle and connect more, a Happy Hour will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. with appetizers, sponsored by Beck’s Hybrids.
